Shenzhen Polytechnic University is a public undergraduate vocational institution, originating from Shenzhen Polytechnic, which was established in 1993. In June 2023, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of Shenzhen Polytechnic University by integrating resources based on Shenzhen Polytechnic. The university became the first undergraduate vocational institution established on the foundation of a high-quality "Double High" school since the Ministry of Education issued and implemented the "Standards for the Establishment of Undergraduate Vocational Schools (Trial)."
